Congenital (present at birth) facial paralysis is uncommon and, when present, may cause multiple problems for the newborn, such as difficulty.
Facial paralysis may occur as a result of birth trauma, this might be due to intervention such as forceps delivery or a facial presentation.
Description:This part controls the muscles around the lips. Sixty-six of 81 patients had adequate follow-up. Fifty-nine percent of mothers of affected children and 37 percent of controls were prima gravidas. Baby had difficulty in feeding because of the impairment of sucking.
