12 Jun Adding a phone jack is easy, but you have to know which wires go where. Strip 2 to 3 inches of the outer sheathing from the phone cable.

If your NI has a terminal strip a place where the pairs that comprise each POTS line terminate at a junction where you directly connect the colored wires then you would need to either connect the lines directly to the PBX or connect a modular jack to each of the POTS lines on the strip. Don't plug the VoIP device into a line that is still connected to the telephone company. That way, the alarm panel can take full control of the phone line cutting off the rest of the house , as needed, in order to call alarm central.
